Inhofe: Prejudice and Proud Of It

by Tex Norman(78)

I didnt vote for him, but Senator Jim Inhofe is still my Senator. He makes me angry, he embarrasses me, amuses me, causes acid reflux when I read anything about him, and he has finally admitted just how prejudice he is, when he refused to meet with Supreme Court nominee Sonia Sotomayor.

We actually have two Senators representing Oklahoma, and one of them, Tom Coburn is open minded, or at least polite, and the other, Senator Inhofe refused to meet with Judge Sotomayor on the grounds that his mind is already made up to vote against her.

" That was a foregone conclusion, " Inhofe told the Tulsa World .

Inhofe added that he had already voted against Sotomayor when she was up for appeals court judge back in 1998, and since he had no intention of voting for her, why bother meeting with her.

I'm curious, although unrelated, what you think our country or the administration should do overtly to sustain the Iranian people's struggle against theocratic tyranny.

I keep trying to reply and the system here keeps saying I am putting an email address in my answer.  I can't find the email address and out of frustration I just dashed off an article called

What should the US do about the Iranian Crackdown?

I hope this article will be a proper response to your very fine question.
